TX-CARES | Telehealth TX-CARES
This study is a 12-16 week intervention to guide family caregivers of persons with dementia on their caregiving journey by reducing stress, and is designed to be done either in-person at the Garrison Institute on Aging or via telehealth.

Creative Minds - Respite
This study consists of assessment sessions and 12 weeks of respite care where family caregivers will bring their loved ones with dementia or Parkinson's each Monday from 9 am-12 pm or Thursday from 1 pm-4pm. Caregivers then have that time to run errands, go home, or just take some time for themselves!

fMRI Caregiver Study
This study is for caregivers of persons with dementia. We would have you complete an fMRI scanning session and a few assessments (about 3-hour commitment). For your participation, you would receive $50.

Rural Quality of Life Telehealth
This study is designed to offer 12-16 telehealth intervention sessions to persons diagnosed with a mental health condition who live in rural Texas counties.

Pre-Death Grief and Advanced Cancer
This study is for persons with advanced cancers and their family caregivers. Participants in this study will complete 3 surveys over the course of 3 months, each survey will take about 30-45 minutes to complete. For your participation in this study, you would each receive $25 on an Amazon gift card for each survey completed.

Naltrexone Treatment for Prolonged Grief Disorder
Have you been diagnosed with a grief disorder or having a hard time getting over the death of a loved one? You may be eligible for a 12 week study of using Naltrexone for PGD. You could be paid up to $100.

Group Intervention for Caregivers of Persons with AD/ADRD
This study is for persons taking care of a friend or family member with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. Participants will answer survey questions. Afterward, they will attend a 16-week group intervention that meets once per week for 1 hour at the Garrison Institute on Aging, focused on managing stress related to caregiving. For your participation in this study, you could be paid up to $120.
